The oil of the day is called Ravintsara.
I don’t know about you but I had never heard of an oil or plant named Ravintsara before. Let’s find out! First of all, Ravintsara comes from the leaves of a tree (cinnamomum camphora) that grows in Madagascar. The essential oil is steam distilled from the leaves. People in Madagascar call this as ‘the oil that heals.’
Ravintsara essential oil has a clean, pleasant scent. Aromatically Ravintsara blends especially well with Eucalyptus and other oils that have a woody aroma. Other companion oils that are beneficial are Peppermint and all citrus oils.
Diffusing Ravintsara supports the nerves, helps with focus and motivation. Use when stressed by everyday chores. Ravintsara can also be used in meditation, this can be a good way to calm the nerves and relax. Ravintsara essential oil has skin-cleansing properties, making the skin look clearer and healthier. Mix Ravintsara essential oil with coconut oil to deep clean the face at night.
Sounds like a good addition to the mix of soothing oils that can be added to the skin care routine. By the way, Ravintsara is also included in the super blend Raven!
